Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

PUBLICATION ETHICS

The publication process at İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri Araştırmaları Dergisi-Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches is the basis of the improvement and dissemination of information objectively and respectfully. Therefore, the procedures in this process improve the quality of the studies. Peer-reviewed studies are the ones that support and materialize the scientific method. At this point, it is of utmost importance that all parties included in the publication process (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, reviewers and editors) comply with the standards of ethical considerations.Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches expects all parties to hold the following ethical responsibilities.

The following ethical duties and responsibilities are written in the light of the guide and policies made by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, and the publisher.

1. Publication and authorship:

List of references, financial support;
No plagiarism, no fraudulent data;
Forbidden to publish same research in more than one journal.

2. Author’s responsibilities:

Authors obliged to participate in peer review process;
All authors have significantly contributed to the research;
Statement that all data in article are real and authentic;
All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.

3. Peer review / responsibility for the reviewers
:

Judgments should be objective;
Reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the research funders;
Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited;
Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially.

4. Editorial responsibilities:


Editors have complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article;
Editors should have no conflict of interest with respect to articles they reject/accept;
Only accept a paper when reasonably certain;
When errors are found, promote the publication of correction or retraction;
Preserve the anonymity of reviewers.

in the event that the publisher and/or editors of the journal become aware of any facts or allegations of inappropriate research behaviour, the publisher or editor should consider that fact or allegation accordingly
Publishers and editors should always be ready to publish corrections, clarifications, refutations and apologies, in cases where it is necessary”

5. Publishing ethics issues

Maintain the integrity of the academic record;
Preclude business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards;
Always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.

Duties of the Publisher

Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches is committed to ensuring that commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, CTJ will assist in communications with other journals and/or publishers where this is useful to editors. Finally, we are working closely with other publishers and industry associations to set standards for best practices on ethical matters, errors and retractions–and are prepared to provide specialized legal review and counsel if necessary.

Plagiarism Detection

Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches uses double-blind review fulfilled by at least two reviewers. In addition, all articles are checked by means of a program in order to confirm they are not published before and avoid plagiarism.

The peer review process is at the heart of the success of scientific publishing. As part of our commitment to the protection and enhancement of the peer review process, CTJ has an obligation to assist the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, especially in cases of (suspected) duplicate submission or plagiarism.

When a reader discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a paper published in Journal of the Human and Social Science Researchesl or have any other complaint about editorial content (plagiarism, duplicate papers, etc.), he/she should make a complaint by e-mail to: itobiad@itobiad.com We welcome complaints as they provide an opportunity for improvement, and we aim to respond quickly and constructively.

Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches is published by Mustafa Süleyman ÖZCAN, İstanbul /Turkey.

Scope

In this Journal, articles and translation articles, texts and translations made in the fields of social sciences related to human and society (History, Culture and Art, Economic Administrative Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies) discussions and evaluations of scientific activities such as experimental, descriptive and theoretical studies; model recommendation, etc. writings are published.

Period

Journal of the Human and Social Sciences Researches 4 (four) issues are published annually in January - February March / April, May, June / July, August, September / October, November, December

Review of Articles

*Journal of the Human and Social Sciences Researches accepts paper submission from researchers with only doctoral degrees in research articles and book review.

Articles submitted to Journal of the Human and Social Sciences Researches are first reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of the journal's publishing principles.

Article Preliminary Review Form

Those found unsuitable are returned to their authors for revision.

Academic objectivity and scientific quality are considered as paramount importance.

Submissions found suitable are referred to three referees working in relevant fields. The names of the referees are kept confidential and referee reports are archived for five years. If one of the referee reports is positive and the other is negative, the article may be forwarded to a third referee for further assessment or alternatively, the Editorial Board may make a final decision based on the nature of the three reports. The authors are responsible for revising their articles in line with the criticism and suggestions made by the referees and the Editorial Board. If they disagree with any issues, they may make an objection by providing clearly-stated reasons. Submissions which are not accepted for publication are not returned to their authors.

Evaluation Form

Language of Publication

 Journal of the Human and Social Sciences Researches English German French Russian and other languages can also be included in the articles written in English, German, French, Russian and other languages. Turkish and English titles and abstracts and bibliographies are written using the Latin alphabet are also required for articles not written in Latin letters.

Articles contain an English title, an abstract (250-300 words), keywords (5-8 concepts), and a bibliography prepared with the APA Style.

Notes and Bibliography
Journal of the Human and Social Sciences Researches requires writers to use the APA Style.

Plagiarism Policy

All articles are checked by means of a program in order to confirm they are not published before and avoid plagiarism.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

Each issue is forwarded to libraries and international indexing institutions within one month after its publication.


Processing Charges

Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches does not charge any article submission, processing charges, and printing charge from the authors.

Copyright


We request that authors transfer (assign) the copyright in their articles to Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches before publication. This ensures that we have the right to work with, reproduce and to make your article available to readers. This is the case whether you have chosen to publish on a subscription-only or on a gold open access basis. Following the submission of your article, we will ask you to electronically submit an Assignment of Copyright form.The assignment of copyright in your article is effective only from the date on which the article is accepted for publication. If you withdraw your article, or if it is not accepted, the transfer does not take effect.

The main features of the copyright assignment are that:

authors transfer the worldwide copyright in their work to CUID Publishing in all formats and media;

authors assert their moral right to be identified as the authors of the article;

for subscription-only articles, CUID grants back to authors certain rights for the future use of their own work, for example, self-archiving rights; for full details please see the Copyright FAQ;

authors of gold open access articles will have the same rights as all third parties – those described in the relevant Creative Commons license;

provision is made for situations where copyright is owned by an author’s employer as well as for government employees; in the case of multi-author articles, only one author should submit the form but he or she should have obtained the verbal agreement of all the other authors beforehand.

As well as addressing matters of copyright, the form contains assertions that all authors have received the final version of the article, have agreed to it being submitted and that the content of the paper is not defamatory, fabricated or an infringement of third-party rights. CUID uses a single copyright form. Section 1 applies to authors submitting their work for subscription-only publication and Section 2 to those submitting for gold open access publication.


Preparation and Submissions

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online, via www.itobiad.com/en/

Submissions to Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches should be original articles evaluating previous studies in the field and should produce new and worthwhile ideas and perspectives.

Manuscripts should be between 4500 and 9000 words in length (including references, tables, and figures).

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2, ...), 1.2, etc. (the abstract is not included in section numbering). Use this numbering also for internal cross-referencing: do not just refer to 'the text'. Any subsection may be given a brief heading. Each heading should appear on its own separate line.

State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

Results should be clear and concise.

An article to be published in Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches should not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

Papers presented at a conference or symposium may be accepted for publication if this is clearly indicated.
